The Breakers’ Italian Renaissance architecture sets the stage for the inviting ambiance of the holidays, featuring lush foliage, modern trimmings and elegant embellishments. After 11 months of extensive planning and preparation, The Breakers spends six days decking the halls of its majestic entryways, loggias and courtyards. Traditional décor elements are displayed year after year, while new enhancements inevitably surprise & delight the most loyal, repeat guests. Around-the-clock work begins the day after Thanksgiving; mainstay decorative highlights include:
- Thousands of soft white lights that wrap 100 majestic royal palms and Canary Island date trees, lining the hotel’s 1,040 ft. main drive
- 170,000 twinkle lights, 8,000 ornaments, 12,000 feet of ribbon and 126 bows create an atmosphere of cheer and wonder
- Two 18 ft. evergreen trees and a sculptural menorah illuminate the hotel lobby
- An immersive outdoor light display provides children with an irresistible interactive experience
- Holiday-themed events and activities for guests and families of all ages
